MANILA, Philippines – The last panel at Social Good Summit 2024 was about, “Governing for liveable cities.”
The panel featured three Philippine mayors championing reforms and progressive policies in their cities – Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon, and Isabela de Basilan City Mayor Sitti Hataman.
Moderated by Rappler head of community Pia Ranada, the discussion dealt with political dynasties, challenges to the fight against corruption, transportation problems in Metro Manila, tourism, inclusive policy-making, and more.
