Given what’s at stake in 2022, what do voters need to keep in mind?

In the previous episodes of the #PHVote dialogues, MovePH, Rappler’s civic engagement arm, talked to experts, personalities from the entertainment and arts industries, and journalists to help Filipinos understand the importance of the 2022 Philippine elections especially during a pandemic, the importance of the youth vote, and the powers, duties, and roles of leaders we elect.

Seven months until the elections, certificates of candidacies have been filed for over 18,180 positions in the national government down to the municipal governments.

What may come in handy for voters is a checklist that will help them screen candidates and guide them in making informed decisions as they cast their votes on May 9, 2022.

Have you made your list yet? With all the information that’s out there, where can voters start with their quest for a good leader? How can we engage them to focus on honesty, character, and qualifications instead of personality, popularity, and name recall?

To answer these questions and more, the final episode of #PHVote dialogues will tackle “Your checklist for the 2022 elections” on Wednesday, October 27 at 6 pm.

This particular session will be joined by Positive Youth Development Network, Incorporated chief youth mobilizer John Carlo Borja and Rappler columnist and editorial consultant John Nery.

Rappler’s senior reporter Bea Cupin will host the session.
