On Saturday, August 14, Rappler will go live for the second episode of “#CourageON: Tumindig, Makialam, Kumilos,” a community show produced by Rappler’s civic engagement arm MovePH.
The show spotlights the pressing issues in the Philippines and the ways we can take action on them together. The next episode will tackle some of the stories that moved us in the past week.
How is the Delta variant and the return of the enhanced community quarantine in several areas threatening efforts to drive voter registration numbers? What are groups on the ground doing to help get more first-time voters to register? What are the new challenges that they face and what can be done to meet our target of 61 million eligible Filipino voters.
In celebration of International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples on August 9, the show will also discuss Filipino indigenous culture and what can be done to protect our country’s ancestral heritage, especially in line with recent events involving Dangal ng Haraya awardee Whang Od.
