This is a press release from Kaya Natin! Movement for Good Governance and Ethical Leadership.
Hoping to highlight the exemplary leadership of the country’s public officials, Kaya Natin! Movement, in partnership with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF Philippines), will be launching a publication dubbed as The 3Es of Leadership: A Playbook for Successful Politics and Governance on Saturday, April 17, at 4 pm.
The playbook is a compilation of strategies and insights of outstanding public officials on navigating the rough tides of politics and governance in the Philippines. As its title suggests, this publication will highlight the effective, ethical, and empowering brand of leadership tested throughout the years as key ingredients towards success in public service.
Twenty stories will take us to 20 different journeys, exploring the universal paradox and uniqueness of how one rises to the call of leadership.
Some stories include that of an official who made history in her province by winning against a long-standing political dynasty; those who started as Sangguniang Kabataan president, barangay captain or government employee; or officials who were poets, teachers, businessmen, and nurses.
Through the stories of these outstanding public officials, Kaya Natin! aims to emphasize that people can find exemplary leaders in ordinary Filipinos and that genuine public service is the most effective strategy to succeed in politics and governance.
Three of the 20 featured officials will join us in the book launch to highlight their stories: Board Member Jason Gonzales of Iloilo, Board Member Carolyn Fariñas of Zambales, and Governor Kaka Bag-ao of Dinagat Islands.
Join us in the book launch by registering here or watching the stream on KN’s Facebook page.
